La Francaise de l'Energie Secures €7 Million Impact Loan with Arkéa Banque
On July 25th, 2024, La Francaise de l'Energie (FDE) announced a new €7 million "PACT Trajectoire ESG" impact loan with Arkéa Banque Entreprises et Institutionnels. This follows the previous €5.8 million ESG loan in November 2023, aimed at refinancing cogeneration units in Lens and Avion.
FDE, a carbon negative energy producer, continues to steer the ecological transition by avoiding over 3.5 million tons of CO2 annually with its 22.5 MW installed capacity. The company’s goal by 2030 is to surpass 20 million tons of CO2 avoided per year.
With operations expanding into five European countries, FDE focuses on low-carbon energy, including solar, cogeneration, methane, and hydrogen. The new loan supports FDE's growth strategy and financial goals, aiming at over €175 million in annual revenues and more than €85 million EBITDA by 2030.
This second loan from Arkéa Banque includes a margin reduction for improved ESG performance, to be verified annually by EthiFinance.
