Lahontan Completes Phase Two of 2024 Drilling at Santa Fe
Lahontan Gold Corp (TSXV:LG)(OTCQB:LGCXF) has completed Phase Two of its 2024 drilling program at the Santa Fe Mine project in Nevada. The company drilled five additional reverse-circulation (RC) holes totaling 1,044 meters. In total, 11 RC holes, covering 2,347 meters, were drilled this year. The assay lab is set to provide initial results shortly.
The objectives achieved include defining open pit geometries for an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), extending gold and silver mineralization at depth, and completing step-out drilling in the Slab target area. These efforts aim to refine the conceptual open pit designs and capture new mineralization.
Since its founding in 2020, Lahontan has drilled 19,152 meters across 79 holes at Santa Fe. CEO Kimberly Ann highlighted the efficiency and budget adherence of the drilling campaign. Concurrently, work on the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) is progressing with site visits and cost scoping.
