Lahontan Gold Corp Announces Positive Drilling Results at Santa Fe Mine
Lahontan Gold Corp has reported results from five reverse-circulation rotary drill holes from its Phase One drilling campaign at the Santa Fe Mine project in Nevada. The campaign aimed at expanding and confirming gold and silver resources in the Slab and Santa Fe pit areas.
Among the highlights, drill hole CAL24-007R revealed 48.8 metres grading 0.51 g/t gold equivalent, including a high-grade section of 7.6 metres grading 1.16 g/t gold equivalent. Drill hole CAL24-009R showed 7.6 metres grading 2.22 g/t gold equivalent, including 3.1 metres at 4.41 g/t gold equivalent. These results significantly extend the footprint of mineralization at the Slab open pit.
Lahontan's CEO Kimberly Ann noted the positive trend towards thicker zones of mineralization and increasing silver grades along a north-northeast trend. The company plans to integrate these results into an updated Mineral Resource Estimate, expected in September 2024.
