Lahontan Gold Corp Reports Significant Drill Results at Santa Fe Mine
Lahontan Gold Corp has announced results from six reverse-circulation rotary drill holes from its 2024 Phase One drilling campaign at the Santa Fe Mine project in Nevada's Walker Lane gold and silver belt.
The drill holes, totaling 1,309 meters, aimed to extend gold and silver resources and confirm pit boundaries for an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) and Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) at the Santa Fe Mine project. Notable results include 41.2 meters grading 0.90 g/t Au Eq and 16.8 meters grading 1.41 g/t Au Eq from drill hole CAL24-003R.
Kimberly Ann, Lahontan's Founder, CEO, President, and Director, highlighted the success in identifying additional oxide mineralization and increasing drill hole density at the Slab deposit. This will aid in optimized mine planning for the upcoming PEA.
All drill holes were drilled at angles between -45 to -70 degrees. Lahontan's QA/QC protocols included insertion of coarse blanks and Certified Reference Materials, with samples analyzed by American Assay Laboratories in Nevada.
