Lancaster Scuba Merges with GearUp Guide to Enhance Diving Services Nationwide
Lancaster Scuba, previously known as Lancaster Scuba Center, has announced a strategic merger with GearUp Guide. This consolidation unifies the expertise of both entities, offering a revamped brand experience for divers. The merger expands their services to include an impressive online and offline selection of diving gear, as well as enhanced training and travel opportunities.
Founded in 1993, Lancaster Scuba has grown from a modest local dive shop into a well-established name in the diving community, recognized for its comprehensive service spanning gear sales, rentals, and diving instruction. The rebranding embraces the influence of Johnny Walker and his wife Gini, who have been at the helm since its inception.
The integration of GearUp Guide, founded in 2014 by Johnny and Gini's son, Zach Walker, marks a significant milestone. Under Zach's leadership, the company has broadened its product offerings and entered the e-commerce space, catering to a diverse range of diving activities including freediving and spearfishing.
With the new slogan "Gear. Dive. Travel.", Lancaster Scuba aims to provide a unified customer experience that covers all aspects of diving. The merger enables them to offer a wide array of PADI-certified courses and specialized trips, enhancing their commitment to serving the diving community across the United States.
