BERKELEY, CA / ACCESSWIRE / June 5, 2024 / Berkeley SkyDeck, a prominent accelerator, has announced that applications are now open for the second UC Berkeley AI Hackathon. Organized in collaboration with Hackathons @ Berkeley, the event promises to attract over 1,000 developers for a chance to win more than $100,000 in investment and prizes. The 36-hour competition will take place on June 22-23, 2024, and will include workshops and panels on AI development.
Highlighting the success of last year's event, Chon Tang, Founding Partner at Berkeley SkyDeck Fund, expressed confidence in the potential breakthroughs participants could achieve. This year, partnerships with top university hackathon groups, including HackMIT and Stanford Treehacks, aim to draw top talent nationwide.
Participants of all experience levels are encouraged to apply. Teams of up to four members or solo participants will present their projects to a judging panel of leading venture investors, including the Berkeley SkyDeck Fund, which will invest $100,000 in the winning teams to further their projects over the summer. Team-matching events and sessions on ethical AI development will enhance the experience.
Applications are due by June 10 at 11:59pm PDT. For more information and to apply, visit the UC Berkeley AI Hackathon website.
