Larry L. Hillblom Foundation Awards $127,500 in Scholarships and Grants to Outstanding Students
The Larry L. Hillblom Foundation has announced the recipients of the 2024 Larry Hillblom Memorial Scholarship and the Larry Hillblom Vocational Grant. These awards, totaling $127,500, recognize exceptional students for their academic achievements and career dedication.
The Larry Hillblom Memorial Scholarship, amounting to $75,000, was awarded to three students: Wren Wilson, Addison Murguia, and Jiselle Moya. Each student will receive $25,000 to support their higher education. This scholarship honors Larry Hillblom, co-founder of DHL Worldwide Express, and his advocacy for education and innovation.
The Larry Hillblom Vocational Grant, totaling $52,500, was awarded to seven seniors from Kingsburg High School. Each recipient, including Anthony Hernandez, Sullivan Phela, and others, will receive $7,500 for vocational training. This grant reflects Hillblom's belief in practical skills and career readiness.
