Leadership Change at Hannover Re as CEO Jean-Jacques Henchoz Steps Down

Hannover Rück SE has announced a significant leadership transition. The current Chief Executive Officer, Jean-Jacques Henchoz, will not renew his contract, stepping down from his role on 31 March 2025. His departure paves the way for Clemens Jungsthöfel, the current Chief Financial Officer, to assume the position of CEO on 1 April 2025.

Jungsthöfel brings extensive experience, having served as CFO both at Hannover Re and HDI Global. His expertise is further supported by his tenure at KPMG, where he specialized in advising primary and reinsurance companies. He will be succeeded as CFO by Christian Hermelingmeier, currently CFO at HDI Global, who will also join Hannover Re's Executive Board.

This transition highlights Hannover Re's focus on leveraging internal talent to ensure continuity and stability within its management structure.
