Lhyfe's UK Green Hydrogen Projects Gain Government Support

Lhyfe has made significant progress in the UK, as two of its green hydrogen projects have been shortlisted by the UK government under the Hydrogen Allocation Round 2 (HAR2). The projects in question are located in Wallsend and Kemsley. Together, they highlight Lhyfe's capabilities in developing substantial hydrogen production sites.
The Kemsley site, an 80 MW facility, aims to generate up to 32 tonnes of green hydrogen daily. Meanwhile, the Wallsend site, with a 20 MW capacity, is set to produce around 8 tonnes daily. Both aim to supply green hydrogen to local industries, aiding in the UK’s decarbonisation efforts.
HAR2 ensures government financial backing through a Contract for Difference, offering price stability over 15 years. This initiative underscores Lhyfe's strategic role in advancing the hydrogen economy in both Europe and the UK.
