LIBERO Football Finance AG Delays 2023 Financial Statements Publication

Frankfurt am Main, August 30, 2024 – LIBERO football finance AG has announced a further delay in the publication of its 2023 financial statements. Originally postponed to the end of August 2024, the new expected publication date is mid-September 2024.

The delay is attributed to an ongoing transaction involving a partnership with FC Barcelona. Although a significant milestone was achieved in August 2024 with the transfer of a 6.14% stake in Bridgeburg Invest S.L. for approximately EUR 25 million, the remaining part of the transaction (c. EUR 15 million) is still under negotiation.

The delay also stems from organizational challenges due to the large number of parties involved. The resolution of a legal dispute with Barça Producción S.L. has been amicably settled.

The Management Board expects to finalize the transfer shortly, leading to the complete resolution of the legal dispute in Spain. They are confident that this will not negatively affect LIBERO and anticipate a clear outlook by mid-September 2024, allowing the audit to be completed and the 2023 financial statements to be published.
