Linde Recognized in FTSE4Good Index for Ninth Consecutive Year
Linde plc (Nasdaq: LIN) has been included in the FTSE4Good Index Series for the ninth consecutive year, as announced on July 31, 2024. The FTSE4Good Index, created by FTSE Russell, measures the performance of companies with strong environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. It is utilized by various market participants to form and evaluate responsible investment funds.
Tamara Brown, Vice President of Sustainability at Linde, expressed pride in the company's inclusion, attributing it to Linde's continuous commitment to sustainability. In 2023, Linde's products, technologies, and services assisted in avoiding approximately 91 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent, surpassing their own global emissions.
Linde has set ambitious climate goals, including a 2035 science-based absolute GHG emissions reduction target and a 2050 climate neutrality ambition. Recently, the company introduced new targets focusing on water reduction and waste management.
