Lithuanian Biotech Pioneer "Nando" Expands Globally with New Management and Production Innovations
"Nando," a prominent Lithuanian biotech firm, has announced an expansion in its management team and a scale-up of its biotechnological production line. This development aims to transform "Nando" into a significant global player in the biotech industry. The company has gained recognition for reducing fertilizer costs by up to €50 million through its innovative microbiological products.
The bolstered management team includes Gytis Kubilius, former executive at SEB and Citadele banks; Mindaugas Navickas from Teltonika Networks; Arūnas Jusas, ex-General Manager at Timac AGRO; and Giedrė Mockienė, previously HR Manager at UAB "Yara". This new leadership is set to drive major developmental projects within "Nando".
The company has also invested approximately €3 million in a new, state-of-the-art biotechnology line to meet growing demand for microbiological alternatives to mineral fertilizers. This line employs a unique microorganism purification technology, scarcely found in the Baltic region, which positions "Nando" advantageously in producing high-yield microbiological products in powder form.
"Nando" aims to enhance the agro-biotechnology sector's value in Lithuania, while promoting sustainable agricultural technologies worldwide. Strengthened by the international expertise of its new management and innovative production capabilities, "Nando" continues to expand its reach across Europe, the Americas, and beyond.
