Little Kitchen Academy Partners with NBA Icon Russell Westbrook to Launch Charitable Fund

Little Kitchen Academy (LKA) has announced the launch of the Changing Lives from Scratch Fund in collaboration with NBA player Russell Westbrook and his Why Not? Foundation. The initiative aims to benefit over 10,000 children and teens across North America by providing them access to LKA's cooking classes. These sessions teach practical life skills, build confidence, and promote food literacy.

The fund will offer grants, scholarships, and resources to underserved communities. The goal is to raise initial contributions of up to $100,000, which will be matched by generous donors. Each $100 donation allows one child or teen to attend a three-hour cooking class at LKA locations.

Children and teens in the program will choose ingredients from a living food wall, create recipes, and share meals around a table made of recycled chopsticks. Local charitable organizations will help ensure the program reaches those in need. Additionally, every ten students funded through the initiative will earn a free class for one additional student.

Russell Westbrook expressed his commitment to the fund, noting the positive impact of LKA classes on children and teens, including his own. The initiative seeks to empower youth to develop essential life skills and a love for healthy cooking.

Contributors interested in supporting the Changing Lives from Scratch Fund can donate through designated links for the USA and Canada. Local charities can contact LKA for collaboration opportunities.
