Litum's Infant Security RTLS Ensures Safety for Newborns in Hospitals
Litum, a global leader in Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS), has launched its Infant Security solution featuring the "Little Tag" for newborns. This advanced service aims to prevent mismatches and abductions in healthcare facilities.
Available as a service, the Infant Security RTLS pairs the "Little Tag" with tags worn by mothers and authorized nurses to create secure links, preventing unauthorized removals. Continuous monitoring and stringent discharge protocols further safeguard against potential threats.
The "Little Tag," approximately the size of a half-dollar coin, is a lightweight, hypoallergenic wearable device. Utilizing Ultra-Wideband (UWB) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technologies, it ensures precise location tracking and robust security features.
The solution also integrates seamlessly with hospital systems, offering geofencing and access control capabilities. Additionally, it supports scalable healthcare enhancements like staff workflow and patient flow, all within a product-as-a-service model.
Litum’s CEO, Ozgur Ulku, highlights that the new solution enhances safety while integrating effortlessly into existing hospital frameworks, providing an effective and reliable security option for newborns.
