Global Study by Logitech G Reveals Esports' Rising Prominence

Logitech G has unveiled a global study indicating that esports is entering a golden age. The study, covering 18,000 respondents from 12 countries, highlights shifting perceptions, with 54% viewing esports as a legitimate career path. Among Gen Z, support rises to 67%, with nearly half endorsing its inclusion in the main Olympic Games.

The esports audience reached 611 million in 2024, projected to hit 641 million by 2025. Despite its growth, financial risks and societal support remain barriers for many considering esports as a career. The industry's value, driven by sponsorships, is expected to reach $7.5bn by 2030.

While challenges persist, the study underscores a cultural shift, positioning esports as a viable and aspirational career. Logitech G continues to innovate in this sector, aiming to further empower players across all levels.
