Lonza Adopts New Streamlined Operating Model

On April 1, 2025, Lonza Group AG announced the implementation of its new simplified operating model, which aligns with its "One Lonza" vision. The restructure replaces its previous divisional setup with three newly formed Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) Business Platforms: Integrated Biologics, Advanced Synthesis, and Specialized Modalities.

Under the new model, the business unit layer is removed, allowing each platform to manage multiple technology platforms directly. This change is designed to enhance customer experience, facilitate growth, and strengthen Lonza's multimodality offerings. The Capsules & Health Ingredients business will maintain its current structure but is expected to operate independently in the future.

Lonza will report its updated financials in June 2025 to provide clarity to investors. The changes reflect a strategic move towards improved execution capabilities and a unified market approach.
