Lucibel: Financial results for the first half of 2024
Lucibel posted a net loss of €1,165,000 for the first half of 2024, compared to a profit of €179,000 for the same period in 2023. This deterioration was due in particular to unfavorable market conditions, severely impacting the scenographic lighting and cosmetics activities. Turnover fell by 37% to €3,140,000, mainly due to a drop in orders in the cosmetics sector.
To meet these challenges, Lucibel has initiated a restructuring plan, targeting annual savings of nearly €2 million. This strategy includes grouping lighting production on a single site and outsourcing cosmetic manufacturing, thereby reducing medical certification costs.
Thanks to these measures, the Group hopes to return to profitability as early as 2025. Gross cash remains at €930,000 as of June 30, 2024, supported by a capital increase of €1.8 million carried out in May. A strategic repositioning in high value-added markets, such as luxury, is underway.
