Ludwig Beck's Positive Third Quarter 2024 Financial Performance
Ludwig Beck, the Munich-based fashion company, reported a positive outcome in its third quarter of 2024. Despite earlier challenges, such as unfavorable weather and external event disruptions, the company experienced a 2.0% rise in sales for the quarter, reaching €23 million compared to €22.6 million the previous year. Traditional costume sales notably improved, supported by colder weather increasing demand for autumn and winter clothing.
Overall, the gross sales for the first nine months of 2024 totaled €60.3 million, slightly up from €59.6 million in 2023. Despite the sales growth, the company's earnings before taxes remained negative at -€1.8 million. The balance sheet showed total assets of €169.6 million as of September 30, 2024.
Ludwig Beck also enhanced its online fashion sales, although online beauty sales saw a dip. The company maintains its forecast for a strong fourth quarter, traditionally its most profitable, despite potential challenges from early discount events.
