Lumu Introduces Autopilot: AI-Based Autonomous Cybersecurity Response and Management

Lumu, known for its Continuous Compromise Assessment™ cybersecurity model, will launch Lumu Autopilot at the RSA Conference 2024. This new, patent-pending technology is designed to autonomously manage security incidents. Lumu Autopilot enhances security operations by automatically monitoring, analyzing, and responding to threats as they occur in real-time.

The product release addresses significant challenges in the cybersecurity domain, including the proliferation of connected devices and the intensifying complexity and frequency of cyberattacks. Currently, the cybersecurity industry faces a substantial talent shortage, with about 3.5 million unfilled positions making 24/7 security operations increasingly untenable.

Ricardo Villadiego, founder and CEO of Lumu, highlighted that over the past five years, Lumu has developed AI-powered playbooks from extensive network metadata analyses, encapsulating the wisdom of experienced cybersecurity analysts. This integration of human expertise with machine speed allows Lumu Autopilot to operate as a virtual continuous security team.

The benefits of Lumu Autopilot include autonomous incident management, continuous compliance with cyber insurance and regulatory frameworks, cost efficiency, closing of the talent gap in cybersecurity, and enhancement of human decision-making in escalated incidents.
