LUX's 'Getting Ready' Campaign Aims to Empower Female Ex-Offenders

LUX, the beauty brand from Unilever, has launched a new campaign titled 'Getting Ready'. This initiative is designed to help female ex-offenders reintegrate into society by embracing beauty and self-care. The campaign provides a program that includes personal grooming essentials and focuses on restoring self-worth and confidence.

The 'Getting Ready' program includes four modules. These modules address overcoming negative thoughts, acquiring job skills, enhancing social skills, and building a personal image. LUX emphasizes the importance of beauty as a source of strength and aims to transform the perception and self-image of these women through this initiative.

Severine Vauleon, Global Brand Vice President at LUX, highlighted the challenges these women face in reintegrating into society. Through 'Getting Ready', LUX aims to offer these women a new start free from societal labels. Hinoti Joshi of VML Singapore also shared insights on the societal discourse the campaign aims to inspire, advocating for greater societal support for these marginalized women.

Ultimately, LUX hopes that by focusing on beauty as a powerful tool for empowerment, 'Getting Ready' will help female ex-offenders to find their place in society anew. The campaign not only aids in personal transformation but also seeks to raise awareness and shift public perceptions regarding the struggles of these women.
