Maginito Secures Exclusive Agreement With Inserma for HDD Pre-Processing

Maginito Ltd (79.4% owned by Mkango, 20.6% by CoTec) and Inserma Anoia S.L have signed an exclusive agreement to commercialize pre-processing technologies for HyProMag. This collaboration targets the UK, Germany, the US, and other regions.

Inserma’s technology rapidly removes rare earth magnets from hard disk drives (HDDs), enabling further processing by HyProMag without requiring heat treatment or dismantling. This solution offers a sustainable and cost-effective recycling method. The deal initiates with three units to be used in the UK, Germany, and the US.

The collaboration aims to deploy hundreds of these pre-processing units globally, catering to diverse applications like HDDs, loudspeakers, and electric motors. This initiative seeks to enhance rare earth magnet recovery while minimizing carbon footprints and associated costs.
