Magna Terra Expands Humber Project with Hughes Lake Block
Magna Terra Minerals Inc. has expanded the Humber Copper-Cobalt Project by acquiring two additional mineral licenses, covering 7,550 hectares, known as the Hughes Lake Block in western Newfoundland. This expansion increases the project's area by 23%, comprising 1,627 claims over 40,675 hectares. Focused on critical minerals, the project sits within the Humber Arm Allochthon, underlain by rocks facilitating copper, cobalt, and other metal deposits.
The newly acquired Hughes Lake Block features an 8 km zone of copper and cobalt, significant for exploration. Historic soil samples reveal copper up to 524 ppm and cobalt up to 111 ppm, highlighting the area's mineral potential. The geological environment aligns with major global copper belts, enhancing Magna Terra's strategic position.
This acquisition strengthens shareholders' exposure to critical metals crucial for energy transition, establishing a cost-effective, royalty-free land position with high exploration potential in a top mining jurisdiction.
