Mako Mining Reports Q3 2024 Results for San Albino Mine
Mako Mining Corp. has announced its operational results for Q3 2024 at the San Albino gold mine in Nicaragua and updates on the Eagle Mountain project in Guyana. The company reported mining 29,749 tonnes containing 5,414 ounces of gold at an average grade of 5.66 g/t and 5,557 ounces of silver.
During the quarter, Mako milled 51,865 tonnes, achieving a gold recovery rate of 73.4%. The production was impacted by delays in receiving an environmental permit for Las Conchitas, but normal operations resumed by September.
Looking ahead, Mako is focusing on advancements at the Eagle Mountain project. The Guyana Geology and Mines Commission recently renewed the project's prospecting license. Activities include preparing for an environmental permit and mining license application in 2025.
