Manitou Group Acquires Sitia's Robotics Division

On May 12th, 2025, Manitou Group announced its acquisition of Sitia's robotics division, aligning with its strategic LIFT roadmap. This move aims to integrate robotics as a core element of Manitou's innovation strategy. By acquiring Sitia's robotics division, Manitou gains a skilled team of seven, including doctoral candidates and engineers, skilled in developing autonomous agricultural machinery like the TREKTOR robot.
Sitia's expertise will assist Manitou in accelerating product development for the agricultural and semi-industrial markets. A new division, "Manitou Group Robotics", will be established this year. Julien Waechter, VP of R&D, emphasized that the acquisition enriches Manitou's capabilities, bolsters its technological base, and reinforces its leadership in innovation.
Clément Aubry Tardif, Director of Sitia’s Robotics Division, expressed enthusiasm about contributing to Manitou’s strategic goals, highlighting the synergy between the teams.
