Massachusetts' Carlisle Schools Rank High in 2024 Science Assessments

Carlisle Public Schools in Massachusetts have achieved notable success in the 2024 Massachusetts Common Assessment Program for Science (MCAS). The district's fifth-grade students ranked fourth in the state, which Consumer Affairs rates as the top public education system in the U.S.

In 2024, 81% of Carlisle's fifth graders met or surpassed state expectations, showing an increase from 2023. Statewide, only 44% of students met proficiency. These accomplishments are attributed to the use of KnowAtom's hands-on science curriculum, emphasizing practical learning over screens.

Massachusetts' educational superiority was confirmed by Consumer Affairs, highlighting its leading fourth-grade reading and eighth-grade math scores nationally. Notably, two of the top four science districts in the state use the KnowAtom curriculum.
