Mayr-Melnhof Karton AG Announces Key Executive Appointments and Organizational Update

Mayr-Melnhof Karton AG, a leading name in the packaging industry, has shared significant changes in its leadership and organizational structure. Peter Oswald, aged 61, has been reappointed as Chairman of the Management Board and CEO, his tenure extended until May 31, 2029, ensuring leadership continuity. Oswald's reappointment comes as his current term was set to conclude on March 31, 2025. Alongside, the company's management structure has been revised to include a third member, Roman Billiani, acknowledging the need for expansion.

Billiani, 50, previously Managing Director within MM's Packaging division, has been appointed to the board with a term of service spanning from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2027. With about two decades of experience in fibre-based packaging, Billiani will lead the newly formed "Food & Premium Packaging" unit, merging all packaging operations excluding "Pharma & Health Care Packaging". Wolfgang Eder, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed enthusiasm for the strategic moves, highlighting Oswald's role in steering the company through a pivotal transformation and Billiani's established track record in the industry.
