MEDICLIN Announces Intent to Acquire Reha-Klinik am Sendesaal

On 22 March 2024, MEDICLIN revealed plans to purchase Reha-Klinik am Sendesaal, currently owned by the Specht Group, enhancing its footprint in the healthcare sector. The announcement was made during a joint staff meeting in Bremen, spotlighting an expected transition that seeks to position MEDICLIN as a leading rehabilitation provider in Germany.

The proposed acquisition was discussed with clinic employees by both MEDICLIN’s Chief Operating Officer, Thomas Piefke, and Dr. Joachim Ramming, the Chief Executive Officer, emphasizing the strategic importance of this move. Holger Kammann, Regional Managing Director and Commercial Director of the MEDICLIN Hedon Clinic, is slated to manage the new acquisition.

Reha-Klinik am Sendesaal specializes in cardiology, orthopaedics, and geriatrics, offering 174 inpatient beds and up to 70 ambulatory places. This acquisition aligns with MEDICLIN’s strategy to expand its ambulatory services, making rehabilitation more accessible, digital, and flexible. This synergy is expected to propel MEDICLIN closer to their goal of becoming the top rehabilitation provider within the country.
