Mensch und Maschine Software SE Reports Record Annual Results for 2023

Mensch und Maschine Software SE (MUM), a leading CAD/CAM/BIM specialist, announced record-breaking annual results for 2023 today. Despite facing inflationary pressures and volatility in the Autodesk business, the company managed to achieve new highs in sales, earnings, and cash flow.

The firm reported a modest sales increase of 0.6%, which translated into a 4.6% growth in gross profit, thanks to the growing dominance of its proprietary business. Meanwhile, strict control over costs allowed the company to see an 11% increase in net profit per share (EPS) to 172 cents.

The standout achievement was a 30% increase in operating cash flow, amounting to EUR 50.59 million or 302 cents per share. In celebration of its 40th anniversary, MUM plans to propose an 18% increased dividend of 165 cents per share at the upcoming annual shareholders' meeting on May 8.

Looking ahead, CFO Markus Pech expressed optimism, forecasting an 8-12% increase in gross profit for 2024 and a 10-20% rise in EPS. The company also anticipates a dividend increase and stronger EPS growth for 2025. Chairman Adi Drotleff reaffirmed expectations of maintaining an average EPS growth of +17% per year over the 2024/25E period.
