METAVISIO Partners with BKB Energy for South Korean Data Center Project
METAVISIO - THOMSON Computing has announced a strategic collaboration with BKB Energy to develop a data center in Yeongwol-gun, South Korea. The project, validated by the Korea Electric Power Corporation, involves a 260 MW capacity and represents a potential investment of up to $900 million through convertible bonds.
METAVISIO contributes by supplying GPUs and CPUs, leveraging partnerships with distributors like Turboscale. A dedicated subsidiary, TECHNOLOGY1-THOMSON Computing Korea, will manage the project as a joint venture with BKB Energy. Financing will be handled by BKB Energy, keeping METAVISIO's financial structure stable. Comprehensive due diligence will precede the final investment decision to ensure compliance and assess the project's viability.
This partnership supports METAVISIO's growth strategy, reinforcing its market presence globally, including potential U.S. stock market listing in 2025.
