Meyer Burger and Memodo Seal Agreement for Italian Market

Meyer Burger Technology AG and Memodo have signed a supply agreement to deliver high-performance photovoltaic modules to the Italian market. These modules, manufactured at Meyer Burger's Freiberg plant in Germany, aim to bolster Italy's infrastructure and independence in renewable energy.

Franz Richter, Executive Chairman of Meyer Burger, emphasized the importance of European production, while Davide Saba from Memodo highlighted the appeal of the program for Italian consumers. A new regulation under "Transizione 5.0" offers incentives for using EU-manufactured solar modules in solar projects.

Meyer Burger’s modules are the only ones meeting Category C criteria, the highest incentive level, requiring EU-made bifacial solar cells and a cell efficiency of 24% or above.
