Meyer Burger Secures Top Incentives for Solar Modules in Italy

Meyer Burger Technology AG has attained the highest subsidy rate under Italy's "Transizione 5.0" incentive program. This recognition supports the company's high-performance solar modules, making them eligible for significant tax credits. The modules, produced in Freiberg, Germany, are now part of an initial supply agreement with IBC SOLAR for the Italian market. These modules are the sole products qualifying for category C, offering customers a tax credit covering up to two-thirds of project costs.

Further discussions are ongoing between Meyer Burger and other major distributors in Italy. The new Italian regulation incentivizes solar projects using European-made modules with bifacial cells and at least 24% efficiency. The "Transizione 5.0" program seeks to assist companies in energy and digital transformation.
