Michel Juilland files complaint against Auplata Mining Group and Compagnie Minière de Touissit
Michel Juilland, founder of Auplata Mining Group (AMG) and historic shareholder, filed a complaint for abuse of corporate powers, misuse of corporate assets and money laundering. The complaint, dated May 30, 2024, was sent to the Public Prosecutor in Paris.
Juilland accuses the directors of AMG and Compagnie Minière de Touissit (CMT) of conflicts of interest that harmed the companies. He claims his shares in AMG fell from 15.02% in 2019 to 1.22%, resulting in a huge devaluation.
He suspects money laundering operations via the subsidiary Touissit International Corporation created in the British Virgin Islands. Juilland hopes that French justice will clarify responsibilities.
Luc-Gérard Nyafé, in reaction, counterattacked with a complaint for attempted extortion, accusing Juilland of diverting attention.
