Milestone Reached in Rajapalot Project's Environmental Process

Mawson Finland Limited has announced the completion of the "first phase" of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedure for its Rajapalot Project in northern Finland. This marks a significant step towards obtaining a mining permit. The project has gained strong support from local communities and authorities, emphasizing its role in advancing the EU's green transition. With the completion of this phase, the land use planning process is advancing alongside the EIA's "second phase".

The company plans a winter drilling program of 12,000-15,000 meters for early 2025 to expand the inferred resource base. The initial phase of the EIA identified key areas for analysis of environmental and sociological impacts. The feedback will be important for refining future strategies and meeting stakeholder expectations.

As the EIA process enters its next phase, Mawson can now promote regional land use plans, crucial for the project's progression, ensuring balance between mining activities and environmental needs.
