Mobilezone Commits to Science Based Targets Initiative

Rotkreuz-based mobilezone group has pledged to align its carbon reduction efforts with the Paris climate targets through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This commitment reflects their strategy to significantly cut CO2 emissions by 2032 and 2045. The group intends to develop both short- and long-term emission reduction targets, which will be reviewed and validated by the SBTi. This move marks a significant step towards sustainable business practices.

The company has begun addressing its carbon impact with a comprehensive footprint analysis of scopes 1, 2, and 3 using 2022 as the baseline year. These evaluations have been certified to ISO 14064 standards. Bernhard Mächler, CFO Switzerland, emphasizes that setting science-based targets is crucial for contributing to a sustainable future.
