Challenges of breastfeeding in France: the alarming results of the Momcozy and Kantar study

To mark World Breastfeeding Week, Momcozy, in collaboration with Kantar, is releasing a study highlighting the obstacles faced by French mothers. Nearly a quarter of breastfeeding mothers report a lack of information before starting, a major barrier to breastfeeding in France. The study, conducted with 1,000 mothers, identifies obstacles such as a lack of advice and misconceptions.

Momcozy, a leader in portable breast pumps, advocates a caring and technologically advanced approach. Founded by women, the company offers innovative products, such as the M9 breast pump, and emphasizes training and support for mothers.

Healthcare professionals, primarily midwives and pediatricians, play a crucial role in providing information about breastfeeding. However, only 12% of mothers consult lactation consultants, highlighting a need for better information and support.
