Moolec Signs an Offtake Agreement to Enter US Market in 2025
Moolec Science SA, a molecular farming ingredient company, has signed a three-year offtake agreement with a major global consumer goods and pet food company for its GLA Safflower Oil product, GLASO™. The agreement includes an initial delivery volume of 50 tons in 2025.
GLASO™ is a high-GLA omega 6 oil derived from bioengineered safflower seeds, providing nearly three times more GLA than traditional sources. It is used in dietary supplements, functional foods, cosmetics, and pet food, which is the primary application targeted by this agreement.
Moolec has also secured binding agreements with farmers for safflower cultivation and with an industrial partner for downstream processing, ensuring a controlled supply chain for GLASO™.
This agreement marks a significant step for Moolec in scaling up production and meeting increasing demand for sustainable nutritional ingredients.
