Moses and Rooth Launches Rideshare Reimbursement Initiative on Memorial Day to Prevent Drunk Driving
ORLANDO, FL / ACCESSWIRE / May 21, 2024 / To reduce drunk driving during Memorial Day, the law firm Moses and Rooth is offering free rides in Florida over the holiday weekend. This initiative aims to enhance community safety by providing reliable transportation alternatives for Memorial Day participants.
According to the National Safety Council, there were 469 traffic fatalities during last year’s Memorial Day period, with 40% involving alcohol-impaired drivers. Moses & Rooth's Rideshare Reimbursement Program seeks to encourage safer choices.
Florida ranked third in fatal crashes during Memorial Day 2020, with a 12% increase in traffic deaths compared to non-holiday weekends.
The program is simple: participants need to contact a rideshare or taxi for a ride home, then submit their receipt and PayPal email to Moses and Rooth for reimbursement. The rides must occur in Florida between May 24-27, 2024, with certain conditions applied.
