Mutares Acquires Hirschvogel Incorporated, Expands US Presence
Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has completed the acquisition of Hirschvogel Incorporated from Hirschvogel Holding GmbH, marking its ninth acquisition in 2024. The deal, the first in the USA, follows the opening of Mutares' office in Chicago, underscoring its strategic expansion into the US market. Hirschvogel will now operate under the name Walor North America Inc.
Based in Columbus, Ohio, Hirschvogel specializes in forging and machining steel parts for OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. The company, which employs around 320 people, generated approximately EUR 100 million in revenue in 2023 and is poised for further growth.
This acquisition aims to enlarge the FerrAl United Group’s US operations and leverage production synergies. Johannes Laumann, CIO of Mutares, highlighted the significant growth potential and market opportunities this acquisition brings.
