Mutares Announces Acquisition of Magirus from Iveco Group

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, a noted private equity holding company, has entered into an agreement to acquire Magirus from Iveco Group. This move marks Mutares' second acquisition in 2024 and aims to bolster its Goods & Services segment. Magirus, a leading provider in the firefighting and disaster control markets, is recognized for its comprehensive range of vehicles, ladders, pumps, components, systems, and related aftersales services.

Founded in 1864 and based in Ulm, Germany, Magirus boasts revenues exceeding EUR 300 million and employs around 1,300 staff across its facilities in Germany, Italy, Austria, and France. Serving over 70 countries, its key clientele includes municipalities, public administrations, airports, and industrial companies. This strategic acquisition is set to complete by January 2025, following necessary unbundling measures.
