Nagakawa and u-blox Partner to Enhance Energy Efficiency in Vietnam's Buildings
u-blox, a leader in positioning and wireless communication technologies, has formed a strategic partnership with Nagakawa Group to introduce smart HVAC and VRF systems in Vietnam. This collaboration aims to significantly reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions in buildings across the country. With a focus on sustainable smart building solutions, this venture is set to reduce operational costs and monthly electricity expenditures for businesses and facilities.
The initiative addresses the environmental challenge posed by Vietnam's reliance on coal-fired electricity, which accounts for up to 45% of the nation's power generation. By integrating these advanced HVAC and VRF systems with Building Management System (BMS) software, the partnership endeavors to support Vietnam's ambition to achieve net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050. The solution utilizes BEMServer, the leading open-source platform for building energy management, facilitating both manual and automatic adjustments to reduce power wastage.
Data from the HVAC/VRF systems is analyzed on an AIoT cloud server, providing actionable insights to facility managers through a variety of devices. This ensures prompt and effective measures to curb energy use. The collaboration also includes the development of a comprehensive system in conjunction with the BEESOTA 6G Alliance, utilizing u-blox's LENA-R8 module for seamless, secure connectivity. The implementation of this solution not only promotes environmental sustainability but also supports the achievement of the Vietnam Green Label for green initiatives.
