Nanjing Hosts 2025 World Athletics Indoor Championships

From March 21 to 23, Nanjing will host the 2025 World Athletics Indoor Championships, marking China's first time hosting the event. This follows the 2015 Beijing World Athletics Championships as another significant global track and field competition in China.

The "Nanjing Cube" stadium serves as the central venue, equipped with advanced technologies to host 26 indoor events. Nanjing's sports industry is valued at 131 billion yuan, contributing 2.3% to the GDP. The city supports over 200 sports enterprises and attracts over 1 million annual visitors by integrating sports with cultural tourism.

With its "15-minute fitness circle" initiative, Nanjing ensures extensive community sports park coverage. The city promotes emerging sports and has established an active mass fitness culture. Hosting nearly 600 elite athletes, Nanjing is enhancing its global reputation as a modern sports metropolis.
