Guild Wars 3 Announced for PC and PlayStation 5
On June 5, 2026, ArenaNet announced Guild Wars 3, the latest entry in the Guild Wars MMORPG franchise. Releasing globally for PC and PlayStation 5, this marks the first time the franchise is available on consoles. The game is set in Tyrian region of Orr, offering a fresh gaming experience with new stories and features.
Guild Wars 3 introduces the Vael spirits, mystical entities connected to the land, while players, known as Vaelwardens, engage in a rich world built on protecting this magic. The game emphasizes character customization and skill-building within an immersive open world.
With a combat system optimized for both controller and keyboard, Guild Wars 3 aims to enhance movement and strategic gameplay, promising a seamless transition between actions for impactful combat experiences.
