Nelson-Jameson Celebrates Grand Opening of New Idaho Distribution Center
Nelson-Jameson, a leading supplier for the food and beverage processing industry, will host a grand opening on May 3, 2024, for its new distribution center in Jerome, Idaho. This facility started operations in January 2024 after relocating from Twin Falls, Idaho. The grand opening will feature an open house event and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the center located at 2423 South Garfield Street.
The Jerome distribution center, spanning 45,000 square feet and approximately 1.5 million cubic feet, represents Nelson-Jameson's fifth U.S. distribution location. It aims to support the company's growth and includes energy-efficient features like LED lighting, high-efficiency HVAC systems, and controlled warehouse ventilation. This aligns with the company's commitment to sustainability and reduced carbon emissions.
The company President, Mike Rindy, stated, "The Jerome distribution center marks a significant milestone for Nelson-Jameson, embodying our values of ethical operation, community respect, and environmental responsibility." The opening is a strategic move to enhance their service capabilities and leverage technological advancements in the industry.
The Idaho Department of Commerce acknowledges the state's burgeoning food processing sector, which generated $2.9 billion in GDP in 2023. Nelson-Jameson's new facility is expected to contribute further to the economic growth of the region, a sentiment echoed by Rindy who expressed gratitude for the community's ongoing support.
