Neoen Divests Victorian Renewable Portfolio in AUD 950m Deal
Neoen has announced the sale of its Victorian renewable energy assets to HMC Capital for AUD 950m. This transaction involves a 652 MW operating asset portfolio and a 2.8 GW development pipeline in Victoria. The operating assets include the Bulgana Green Power Hub, Numurkah Solar Farm, and the Victorian Big Battery. The development pipeline features projects such as Bulgana Battery Extension and Moorabool Battery.
This divestment aligns with commitments made by Brookfield to obtain regulatory approval for majority ownership in Neoen. Even after the sale, Neoen remains committed to Australia with a significant capacity still in operational or construction phases. Neoen aims for 10 GW in operation or construction by 2030 in Australia, maintaining its status as the country's largest renewable energy company.
