Neoen Secures AUD 1.4 Billion Financing for Australian Renewable Energy Expansion
Neoen, a leading renewable energy company, has secured AUD 1.4 billion in debt financing, more than doubling its Australian portfolio to over AUD 2 billion. The funding from 11 major lenders supports 2.9 GW of capacity across 15 assets, including solar, wind, and battery storage.
This new tranche covers 1.3 GW of projects, including three solar farms and a wind farm in operation, as well as one solar farm and one battery under construction. Additionally, it finances the Western Downs Battery and Culcairn Solar Farm in Queensland and New South Wales respectively.
The transaction was well-received due to the contracted revenue and technology mix. The financing allows Neoen to continue expanding its renewable energy footprint in Australia.
