Nexans wins new major project with TenneT
Nexans has announced a strengthening of its partnership with TenneT through the LanWin2 project, worth €1 billion. This project consists of the design and implementation of 250 km of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cables with XLPE technology. It is part of the framework agreement signed between the two entities in May 2023. The objective is to transmit 2 GW of wind energy from the German North Sea to the continent, with commissioning planned for 2030.
This development secures Nexans’ position as a leader in the European offshore wind sector, adding to the previously established projects for the BalWin3 and LanWin4 links. Pascal Radue, Nexans Manager, underlines the company’s continued commitment to innovative solutions to support the European energy transition.
