Niagara Falls Partners with Solar Simplified to Enhance Community Solar Access
The City of Niagara Falls has entered an exclusive partnership with Solar Simplified to introduce innovative Community Solar solutions for residents and businesses. This initiative promises a 10% savings on all applied solar credits directly on customers' utility bills, targeting support for Low and Moderate Income (LMI) households.
By collaborating with Solar Simplified, Niagara Falls aims to make solar energy more accessible and affordable. This partnership not only delivers significant savings but also sets a precedent for sustainable energy solutions in urban settings. Residents and businesses can now benefit from renewable energy without the need for individual solar panel installations.
"Solar Simplified is committed to democratizing solar energy, making it accessible and affordable for everyone, especially LMI households," said Aviv Shalgi, CEO of Solar Simplified. He noted that the collaboration would help residents save on electricity bills while boosting renewable energy infrastructure in New York State.
Mayor Robert Restaino emphasized the alignment of the initiative with the city's sustainability goals and economic relief efforts. He endorsed the partnership's role in providing significant savings on electricity bills for the city's most vulnerable residents.
Community Solar projects allow multiple subscribers to benefit from a single solar array, making it especially advantageous for those without resources or suitable property for individual installations. Niagara Falls residents and businesses can enroll in the initiative to support the city's green initiatives while lowering energy costs.
