Nicolas Govillot Appointed Chairman of Assurances du Crédit Mutuel Management Board

Nicolas Govillot has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Management Board of Assurances du Crédit Mutuel (ACM), effective immediately, as announced by the company. He succeeds Pierre Reichert, who will now serve as Chief Risk, Compliance, and Permanent Control Officer at Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale.

In his new role, Govillot will oversee the strategic plan "Ensemble Performant Solidaire," aiming to grow the company's presence in France and Europe across various sectors, including individual customers, professionals, businesses, and the agricultural market. ACM, standing as France's 10th-largest insurer, seeks to increase its insurance coverage to 8 million banking customers.

Govillot, a graduate from École Polytechnique and École des Mines de Paris, joined ACM in 2020 and rapidly ascended from head of the finance department to his recent appointments as Chairman of the Management Board, CEO of ACM IARD, and ACM Vie. Under his predecessor Reichert, ACM saw significant growth, with a net profit of €831 million in 2023 and a broad portfolio expansion.
