NLM Photonics Names Brad Booth as New CEO

NLM Photonics has announced the appointment of Brad Booth as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), stepping into the role formerly held by co-founder Gerard Zytnicki. Booth, a prominent figure with significant experience in cloud, AI/ML, and datacom technologies, transitions from his position on the board to lead the company. Zytnicki will continue to play a critical role within the organization as the Chief Operating Officer and Chairperson of the Board.

Booth's expertise aligns with NLM Photonics' mission to advance high-efficiency modulator technology for commercialization. He expresses enthusiasm for leading the company's efforts in developing energy-efficient data transport technologies, leveraging silicon-organic hybrid technology for enhanced data rates and energy efficiency. Booth's previous contributions to the field, including roles at Meta Platforms and Microsoft Azure and leadership within several industry consortia, highlight his influential status in the networking industry.

The restructuring includes the appointment of Vijay Raghavan as Chief Financial Officer and the transition of Dr. Lewis E. Johnson from Chief Scientific Officer to Chief Technology Officer, reflecting an increased focus on commercial R&D partnerships. NLM Photonics anticipates that this renewed executive team will bolster its capabilities in scaling commercial partnerships, technology development, and securing Series A funding for growth.
