NoFap Sues Pornhub Under RICO Act, Alleges Academic Collusion

NoFap LLC has initiated a lawsuit against Pornhub, accusing it of a decade-long campaign to undermine addiction recovery efforts. Filed in a U.S. federal court, the lawsuit alleges that Pornhub's parent company Aylo, the Free Speech Coalition, and two academics were involved in a disinformation campaign targeting NoFap and related entities.

The complaint claims that these actions include filing false reports, online defamation, and obstructing scientific research. The suit involves several allegations, including racketeering and civil conspiracy, against four Aylo entities and others. Notably, Taylor & Francis and UCLA are accused of aiding the operations.

NoFap's founder, Alexander Rhodes, emphasizes that the lawsuit aims to protect those researching pornography's impact. Lead counsel David Kobylinski likens the industry's tactics to those of the 1950s tobacco companies.
